OUR STORY.

15 years ago, Damian Harris and Stacie Van Luven started a corporate wellness company called The Studio: A Personal Health Path. They specialized in assessing how a person or athlete moved and figuring out how to make them more efficient. They gained this knowledge from working with athletic trainers, physical therapists, occupational therapists, chiropractors, orthopedic surgeons, and massage therapists. Working with all of these different disciplines they began to look at how the body performed with a different lens.

Understanding that performance is not exclusive to the physical, they became certified in method of coaching called intrinsic coaching. Intrinsic coaching pairs a person’s goals with what matters to them most in life. It is a very results oriented system of coaching that creates an emotional and lasting connection between what a person wants and what they are willing to do for it.

They became well known for being able to help people who could not seem to get relief for their shoulder/back/knee pain. This soon translated to athletes, the most famous being the NFL star Greg Jennings. Anytime they work with an athlete their performance improves. Which has kept them busy working with various sports teams including the Kalamazoo Maroons baseball organization, WMU baseball and football recruits, The West Michigan Ironmen arena football team, and the KVCC Cougars baseball team.

The Studio eventually changed its name to MHP Coaching as they moved into working exclusively with athletes and athletic teams.
